With this package you will even master tight parking spaces effortlessly. Convenient: Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC searches for a suitable parking space and then helps you to park in it.
Peace of mind is also the motto for the reversing camera, with which expensive body damage can be avoided thanks to the good overview to the rear.
Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC
Turn the stress of tight parking spaces into effortless calm. Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC is not only able to find parking spaces – it also helps you to enter and leave them.
As part of this it helps you with steering, and on vehicles with automatic transmission also with accelerating, braking and changing gear. Parking Assist PARKTRONIC also monitors the surroundings when manoeuvring, for example in multi-story car parks. As part of this the system provides visual and audible warnings of detected obstacles – as a result you can avoid annoying and expensive damage.
Active Brake Assist
Active Braking Assist is constantly attentive for you, and can help prevent serious accidents due to insufficient distance or inattentiveness. The system then issues a visual and acoustic warning of an impending collision. If you then brake too gently it offers you sufficient braking power for the situation in question. If you do not react, Active Braking Assist does so on your behalf and attempts to diffuse as much energy as possible with an autonomous brake application.
This can prevent accidents or at least lessen their severity. The system can also brake-up to a speed of approx. 60 km/h for stationary vehicles and pedestrians crossing. Depending on the situation this even prevents collisions up to a speed of 50 km/h.
